AEC-Q101 rectifiers have lower reverse recovery losses
AEC-Q101-qualified FRED Pt Gen 5 600V rectifiers offer best in class reverse recovery losses, claims Vishay Intertechnology. The company has added 10 rectifiers in the Hyperfast and Ultrafast series of devices.
Vishay has introduced 10 rectifiers, which range from 15 to 75A. They are designed to increase the efficiency of AC/DC and DC/DC converters in electric and hybrid electric vehicles’ on-board chargers.
The company claims that the 15, 30, 60 and 75A Vishay Semiconductors rectifiers offer 30% lower reverse recovery losses than the closest competing rectifiers. The recovery losses are 48% lower than the company's previous-generation FRED (Fast Recovery Epitaxial Diode) Pt devices, while maintaining low conduction and switching losses. The rectifiers also deliver improved light and full-load efficiency in high-speed LLC output rectification stages for on-board chargers in electric and hybrid electric vehicles.
Four of the rectifiers VS-E5TH1506THN3, VS-E5TX1506THN3, VS-E5TH3006THN3 and VS-E5TX3006THN3 are available in TO-220AC packages andsix, the VS-E5PH3006LHN3, VS-E5PX3006LHN3, VS-E5PH6006LHN3, VS-E5PX6006LHN3, VS-E5PH7506LHN3 and VS-E5PX7506LHN3, are supplied in TO-247AD packages and in X-type Hyperfast and H-type Ultrafast speed classes. The X-type devices have lower QRR, pbserves the company, while H-type rectifiers feature lower forward voltage. All rectifiers in the series are RoHS-compliant and halogen-free and offer high temperature operation up to 175°C.
Samples and production quantities are available now, with lead times of 12 weeks.
