Universal device programmers come with 3yr warranty
Dataman has launched a range of universal programmers that connect to a PC via a USB 2.0 port.
LED driver is easy to use
Requiring a single external resistor to very accurately set its output current, the ZXLD1350 from Zetex Semiconductors simplifies high power LED driving. Operating from an input supply of between 7V and 30V, the driver can produce an adjustable output current of up to 350mA, to support an LED chain of up to eight 1W LEDs.
Versatile RF development platform will speed up designs
A new RF development platform, the SMT8101, has been launched by Sundance Multiprocessor Technology. Combining the technology of four boards in one PCI (full and compact) compatible board, it promises to boost rapid prototyping and help development teams to get their products into production and to market quickly. It is also available in VME and stand-alone forms.
Fairchild Semiconductor has expanded its Smart Power Module portfolio by adding 50 and 75A-rated Motion-SPM devices targeting 5kW to 7.5kW commercial and industrial inverter motor designs. Fairchild now offers designers SPM products covering the full inverter motor power range from 50W to 7.5kW.
Very small photo-IC output couplers
Toshiba Electronics Europe has expanded its TLP7xx family of photocouplers with three new devices that provide totem pole outputs. Supplied in SDIP packaging – making them 50% smaller than previous devices - the new photocouplers are suitable for a variety of applications including CAN bus interfaces, high speed data transfer, and intelligent power module signal isolation.
Windows XP Embedded SBC-GX533 Development Kit reduces design time
Developing Windows XP Embedded applications on the SBC-GX533 single board computer is said to become faster and easier with Arcom’s latest Embedded Development Kit. The kit features a fully licensed XP Embedded operating system pre-loaded onto an industrial grade 1 GB CompactFlash card and ready to run on the single board computer, eliminating the need for Windows Embedded Studio.
3.3V Optocoupler from Avago is Industry's Fastest
Avago Technologies has just introduced what is said to be the industry's fastest 3.3 V/5 V CMOS-compatible optocoupler, capable of transmitting data at 25 megabaud (MBd). This speed makes it ideal for high-speed, data-line transmission applications, such as those in industrial networking, including PROFIBUS and DeviceNet.
Buffer Module gives Standby Power for DIN-Rail Power Supplies
Powersolve introduces a buffer module - a power back-up device that will supply stand-by voltage for a 24VDC power supply without the need for batteries.
8051-based microcontroller with non-volatile FRAM memory
Ramtron International has launched the VRS51L3074, said to be the market’s first 8051-based microcontroller with non-volatile FRAM memory. Ramtron has added FRAM into its Versa 8051s for quick and reliable non-volatile data storage and a processing system that only a FRAM-enhanced MCU can provide.
Space saving DIN rail PSUs
The latest in the Trio Power range of power supplies from Phoenix Contact includes book-shaped DIN rail single-phase supplies up to 500W suitable for use across a wide range of applications.
