Low noise synthesiser is quiet performer for Microwave market
Now available exclusively in the UK from Admiral Microwaves, is a series of wideband, low noise frequency synthesisers, manufactured in the US by Micro Lambda Wireless. These YIG based devices are ideal for use in local oscillators (LOs) in receiving systems, transmitters, frequency converters and as laboratory instrument signal sources.
Multifunction bench multimeters feature 6.5-digit precision
Now available from TTi (Thurlby Thandar Instruments), the Fluke 8845A and 8846A are high-precision (6.5-digit) dual-display multimeters offering a wide range of functions for benchtop or system applications.
Avago Technologies Introduces High-Brightness Warm White Through-Hole LEDs for Solid-State Lighting and Illumination Applications
Avago Technologies today announced a new series of high-brightness warm white through-hole (TH) LEDs in a 5mm round package for use in a wide range of solid-state lighting and illumination applications. Available in a several packaging options, Avago's HLMP-CYxx TH LEDs target designers of retail and commercial display lighting, as well as street and portable lighting applications.
Independent universal SMT contact from ITT Electronic Components replaces traditional interfaces
The new series of Universal Contacts, recently released by ITT Electronic Components, is an independent range of SMT contacts, providing an electrical connection between a device and a PCB. Manufactured as a single piece stamped product, incorporating pre-load and anti-lift features, new Universal Contacts have been designed to replace traditional interfaces where the contact is custom designed into the component.
STR910 Microcontrollers from STMicroelectronics now with Higher Performance and Lower Cost
STMicroelectronics (NYSE: STM), a leading innovator among semiconductor manufacturers, has announced the release of a new version of its successful 32-bit ARM9-based STR910F flash microcontrollers. Through technology enhancements, the new STR910FA delivers 25% greater system performance at a more competitive price, compared to the previous STR910F devices.
Designed for applications requiring a small SMD Crystal
The SMD crystals of the SMD03025 series are available in frequencies from 13.0 – 40.0 MHz and in an extended temperature range of up to –40 to +125°C. A frequency tolerance of +-5 ppm at 25°C and a frequency stability +-3 ppm over -10°C to +55°C are possible. Ageing is at a maximum after the first year and then it reduces successively (Exponential Function). The standard ageing is +-2 ppm maximum after the first year.
Arcom’s SBC-GX533 single board computer – High performance from a fan-less low profile
Arcom’s SBC-GX533 single board computer consumes just 7W of power yet offers roughly three times the performance of its predecessor the SBC-GX1. The SBC-GX533 is a very low profile, fan-less, RoHS compliant EBX form factor board, based on the AMD Geode™ GX 533@1.1W processor. It is ideal for embedded controllers requiring PC compatibility with full solid-state operation.
New Jennic reference design is first to provide speech audio solution for IEEE 802.15.4 applications
Jennic’s new IEEE802.15.4 voice reference design enables secure full duplex transmission of speech with long battery life for use in point to point and large wireless sensor networks
Jennic announces ZigBee starter kit for under $200
Jennic Ltd. has announced a new starter kit for under $200 to address the needs of developers who want to add IEEE802.15.4 and ZigBee wireless connectivity to their product ranges but have little or no RF design or software development experience. It is the first design kit at this price point to offer ZigBee functionality as standard. The starter kit provides three hardware nodes (based on Jennic’s JN5139 wireless microcontroller modules) tha...
High-Frequency Inductors for matching-circuit applications
TAIYO YUDEN has announced the availability of its AQ105 series of high-frequency inductors for matching-circuit applications in cell phones, notebook PCs and other wireless-enabled computer and communications devices. AQ105 series inductors employ a proprietary simulation technique that optimally characterizes the device’s structural attributes to produce a typical Q value improvement of 100% or higher, compared to the company’s earlier, indu...
