Inverters from Unipower provide up to 1500VA/1200W
UNIPOWER announces a new series of hot-swap, high power density telecom inverters. The INV1000 Series are 1000VA/800W and 1500VA/1200W sine wave inverter modules which operate from a 48VDC input and provide either a 115 or 230VAC nominal output. Power density is 10.5VA/in³. The design uses an advanced DSP controlled architecture to produce a very low distortion 50 or 60Hz sine wave at efficiency levels of 90% and better.
DC-input bulk front-end power modules from Emerson
Emerson Network Power has launched four DC-input bulk front-end power modules for systems that use distributed power architectures. The modules are the latest additions to the company's popular DS series of power supplies, which until now only offered AC-input options. The new DS450DC, 550DC, 650DC and 850DC modules all feature a very wide 40 to 72 Vdc input voltage range, which is ideal for telecom and central office applications operating from ...
Self-Test Software Simplifies End-Product Safety Compliance for STM's STM32 Flash microcontroller family
STMicroelectronics has announced a new software library for the recently-announced STM32 Flash microcontroller family – which is based on the breakthrough ARM Cortex-M3 core – designed specifically to simplify the testing and securing end-product approval and compliance with the demands of the IEC 60335-1 standard*, when the MCU is used in household appliances. Since October 2007, IEC 60335-1 requires the software of MCU-based appliances to b...
Switch disconnectors are smaller and higher rated for space saving applications
Available from specialist distributor Switchtec, redesigned and upgraded switch disconnectors from Telergon offer higher current ratings in smaller housings. The move enables users to save space and/or use more conservatively rated switches in the same space as used previously.
3-channel regulator allows mobile device designers to extend system functionality
AnalogicTech has introduced the AAT2504, an adjustable 3-channel regulator that combines a step-down converter with two low dropout linear regulators (LDOs). Targeted at mobile devices with rapidly changing feature sets, the AAT2504 allows designers to extend system functionality and still benefit from power management integration.
