Top actuated tactile switch has integrated actuator
C+K Components’ new KMT series tact switches are claimed to be industry’s smallest and lowest profile top actuated devices with an integrated actuator (push plate). KMT series switches also feature a 50% longer operational life over comparable products.
Sixteenth brick modules reduce manufacturing costs
Ericsson Power Modules has released a surface-mount version of its successful PKU series of DC/DC converters. The PKU-SI uses proprietary Ericsson technology that meets all assembly and environmental requirements while contributing to lower total cost of ownership. Addressing the market for smaller power supplies, particularly for highly integrated systems in a broad range of applications in telecom and datacom equipments, Ericsson Power Modules ...
Surface Mount LDO is Easily Paralleled for heat spreading
Linear Technology has announced the LT3080, a 1.1A 3-terminal LDO that may be easily paralleled for heat spreading and is adjustable with a single resistor. This new architecture regulator uses a current reference to allow sharing between multiple regulators with a small length of PC trace as ballast, enabling multi-amp linear regulation in all surface-mount systems without heat sinks.
700W DC/DC Brick Delivers 126W/Cubic Inch
Power-One has introduced the FBA48T25280 DC-DC converter, providing a 25A, user-adjustable 16.8 – 32.2V output. This full brick combines high efficiencies (exceeding 92%) with advanced thermal management techniques to deliver 126W/cubic inch power densities and reduced current deratings in elevated ambient temperature RF amplifier applications.
Open PCB AC/DC power supplies
Three new series of single output 20W, 40W and 60W AC-DC units are the latest additions to Lambda’s open PCB ZPSA power supply range. All units within the new series boast a very low profile - the ZPSA20, for example, measures just 88.9 x 50.8 x 20.32mm - making them an ideal choice for applications ranging from video/audio routers, datacoms, point of sale equipment, low power LED signs and lighting.
