DC/DC Converter For LED Lighting Powerstax
Powerstax has announced the availability of a new DC/DC converter for the rapidly growing LED lighting market. This compact high efficiency DC/DC converter has a wide input range, from 11 to 36VDC, and provides a constant current single output, variable from 100mA to 2A, to provide power for a single LED through to an array of up to 9.
Intelligent power module for solder-free assembly from Semikron
Semikron has introduced the MiniSKiiP IPM intelligent power module for quick and easy solder-free assembly. The module has been developed for motor power up to 15kW and incorporates a latch-up free Silicon on Insulator (SOI) driver IC for reliable system operation. Compared to other intelligent power modules, this new unit features the lowest thermal resistance of 0.95K/W and the highest junction temperature of +175°C.
DC/AC Sine Wave Inverters from Schaefer
Schaefer has announced the IV Series of DC/AC inverters. The design of the IV Series synchronizes three individual switch mode inverters and three output transformers, for a symmetrical 3-phase output. The transformers provide input/output isolation, while transforming the voltages to user required outputs.
Connector for µSD and SIM from Yamaichi Electronics
Yamaichi Electronics now offers a new multi-card or combination card connector. The FRS016T-2000-0 offers two slots offset by 90° and stacked in one casing for microSD flash memory cards as well as SIM chip cards. The SIM card is operated manually at that and the microSD card via the convenient Push/Push mechanism.
Structured Wiring for Photovoltaic Systems
Yamaichi Electronics has introduced Y-Sol for the complete wiring of PV systems for the first time at the intersolar 2008 trade show in Munich. PV module junction boxes for silicon and thin film modules as well as connector and cables ensure reliable operation of the systems for their entire life as well as their highest possible efficiency level. All products are developed and manufactured in Germany.
Analog-to-digital converters from Texas Instruments
TI has introduced a pair of ±10V, 16-bit analog-to-digital converters (ADC) with excellent measurement repeatability and high resolution. Both the ADS8519 and ADS8513 combine a low-power successive approximation register (SAR) ADC with sample and hold, clock, reference and a serial data interface. The devices’ high integration enables design in industrial process control, DSP servo control, robotics, test equipment, portable data acq...
Ericsson eighth brick DC/DC converter offers quarter brick performance for downsizing and upgrading
Compared to existing products available on the market, the output power of Ericsson Power Modules’ eighth-brick PKB-B DC/DC converter is considerably higher. This is an important benefit when customers are looking for higher power in a smaller packaging than traditional quarter-brick, or to achieve higher power from a standard eight-brick when upgrading boards for higher performance. The PKB4204B PI is rated at 12Vat 20A and is available in t...
WLED drivers from AnalogicTech
AnalogicTech has introduced the AAT2848, a trimode charge pump driver IC for white LED (WLED) backlight display and flash applications. By integrating four backlight channels capable of driving up to 30mA each with two flash channels capable of driving up to 300mA each, or 600mA in parallel, in a small 3mm x 3mm TQFN33-20 package, the device offers mid-range camera phone designers a highly attractive space-saving solution.
