Step-Down DC/DC Converter Delivers Independent 800mA Outputs from a 3mm x 3mm QFN
Linear Technology has announced the LTC3545, a triple channel, high efficiency, 2.25 MHz, synchronous buck regulator that delivers up to 800mA of output current from each channel from a 3mm x 3mm QFN package. Using a constant frequency, current mode architecture, the LTC3545 operates from an input voltage range of 2.25V to 5.5V, making it ideal for single cell Li-Ion/polymer, or multicell alkaline/NiCad/NiMH applications.
Cost-Efficient Multi-output Power Supply From Lambda
Lambda has launched a lower power range of multi-output models to its popular NV-Power family of configurable power supplies. The new NV-100 models enable Lambda to satisfy the increasing demand for cost-efficient 1U high configurable power solutions at 100W in broadcast and instrumentation markets. In addition, the new models hold MIL-STD-801E approvals and as such are capable of withstanding the rough handling and harsh service conditions assoc...
Din-Rail Power Supplies Beat Harsh Environments
PULS UK is now offering conformal coating on a number of their power supply models. Conformal coating provides higher operational safety and reliability in a number of installation environments where conditions may be prone to high humidity, vibration, thermal shock or rapid temperature changes, unusually dusty or have airborne contaminants.
Compact X-ray generator power supply offers option of RS232 control
HiTek Power’s XRG70 is a 72W X-ray generator power supply module for grounded-cathode tubes that incorporates the high voltage and filament power supply stages and all necessary beam control circuitry. Measuring only 204 x 73 x 127mm, the new unit is the smallest in the market for its power capabilities. It is available with an optional interface to enable full control via RS232.
TTI has tiny resettable thermistors from Bourns
TTI, Inc is introducing Bourns’ new 2010mm (0805) MF-PSMF series resettable PTC thermistors, claimed to be the smallest devices of their type available on the market. The new MF-PSMF series compliments Bourns’ 4532mm (1812) sized series of PTCs, MF-MSMF devices, which have long been the standard PTC of choice among USB port designers for industrial I/O devices.
Aeroflex announces early availability of its test suite for the C.S0044-A specification
Aeroflex has further enhanced its comprehensive support for CDG Stage II interoperability and CDG Stage I signalling conformance testing with the early availability of a test suite for the C.S0044-A specification.
Micro card edge connector for 1.6 mm PCB applications
The new HARTING Micro Card Edge connector is designed for surface mounting on 1.6 mm thick printed circuit boards in board-to-board mezzanine configurations as well as in small pluggable daughterboard applications.
Syfer caps it all with Queen’s Award
Syfer Technology has won a 2008 Queen’s Award for Enterprise. This highly prestigious award for Innovation is for the development of Syfer’s FlexiCap capacitor termination technology. Syfer joins the ranks of other leading UK innovators recognised this year for making a significant contribution to British industry, including Du Pont, Land Rover, Picsel Technologies and Symbian.
IEC connector filter packages for high-power applications from Tyco Electronics
As well as IEC connector filter packages for standard and medical applications, Tyco Electronics now also offers a filter for high-power applications. The EJT filter series’ two-stage construction, improved HF screening and high-quality components make it an ideal solution for noise attenuation within the high frequency range of up to 1 GHz. The components can be used in computer systems, plasma and LCD screens which are connected to mains pow...
12 GHZ USB Sampling Oscilloscope from Pico Technology
Pico Technology has unveiled the PicoScope 9201, a dual-channel PC Sampling Oscilloscope with a bandwidth of 12 GHz that redefines the performance of sampling oscilloscopes at this price level. The dual-channel PicoScope 9201 uses sequential equivalent-time sampling to achieve a sampling rate of 5 TS/s. The wide bandwidth allows acquisition and measurement of fast signals with a transient response of 50 ps or faster.
