RF design seminar focuses on 5G communications
Interlligent UK will be holding its third RF and microwave design seminar at the Møller Centre, Cambridge, on Thursday 18th May. Entitled RF, microwave and millimetre-wave design techniques towards 5G systems, it builds on the success of previous events to highlight key topics in the industry. Experts in the field will focus on one of the key frontiers of today’s wireless technology – design considerations and practical measurement challenges for broadband millimetre-wave systems.
Millimetre wave technology is the new frontier for 5G ultra-fast mobile communications and 60GHz WiGig, enabling a range of new use cases and enhanced performance capabilities.
Moving up to mm-wave frequencies requires the RF engineer to deal with new design and measurement challenges, due both to the specific propagation characteristics of millimetre waves signals and to the very wide instantaneous bandwidths that may be involved. Some of these challenges will be covered in this year’s RF design seminar.
Among the confirmed speakers are:
- Doron Ezri, Huawei
- Chris Clifton, Sony Europe
- Mark Barrett, Blu Wireless Technology
- Mike Geen, Filtronic Broadband
- Liam Devlin, Plextek RFI
- Tim Masson, Keysight Technologies
- Oren Hagai, Interlligent UK
Registration begins at 09:15, allowing time for networking over coffee until presentations commence at 10:00. Lunch will also be served, providing further opportunities for delegates to engage in discussions.
