Stratasys acquires stereolithography 3D printer provider
Stratasys has announced it has acquired UK-based RP Support (RPS), a provider of industrial stereolithography 3D printers and solutions. RPS’ complementary technology further expands Stratasys’ polymer suite of solutions across the product life cycle, from concept modeling to manufacturing.
New 3D printing medical advances analysed
3D printing offers an efficient method to improve current manufacturing limits across economic sectors such as transport, construction, and medical and dental industries allowing rapid prototyping and on-site production and repairs. Progress in 3D printer development has led to faster, larger, and more accurate printers, but these require more functional materials.
Delta WASP 2040 meets serial production demand
To answer the strong demand of serial production, WASP has announced that it now offers a new approach, giving the possibility to produce small series and allowing fast and cheap product variations with the new customized serial production. The Delta WASP 2040 PRODUCTION is a new automated process for 24h printing of technical materials, introducing the new automatic part removal system.
3D printing system for multi-material designs developed
Infotech has introduced a novel, fully automated 3D printing system designed specifically for printing liquid materials and multi-material structures. Thanks to the parallel operation of several dispensing heads, different materials can be processed in one printing step. Complemented by DELO's high-performance epoxy resins, this enables the production of components with different physical property ranges.
New ABS composite materials for METHOD 3D printers
MakerBot has announced that three new Kimya ABS composite materials by ARMOR have been qualified for MakerBot LABS for the MakerBot METHOD X 3D printer.
Onyx ESD for the electronics manufacturing industry
Markforged has announced the launch of Onyx ESD, a new high-strength composite material for the electronics manufacturing industry. The release of Onyx ESD comes amid growing demand for 3D printing materials that are not only safe for electronics manufacturing, but also produce high-quality and high-strength parts.
Universal charging cable created with 3D printing
One charging cable that will fit all your devices for years? Sounds like a fairy tale? The Australian company Volta, together with an Italian collective Metafora Design, has created a product proving it to be possible. The cable has been designed and printed with the use of Zortrax 3D printing Ecosystem.
Path towards eliminating waste in 3D Printing
Materialise has announced Bluesint PA12, a material innovation that makes it possible to 3D print with up to 100% re-used powder. 3D printing is often considered a sustainable manufacturing technology but a new Lifecycle Analysis indicates that for large series of identical products, 3D printing has a bigger environmental impact compared to a conventional production technology.
3D printed composite parts with support of ESA
Zortrax has announced that with the support of the European Space Agency (ESA) it is working to develop a technology that enables 3D printing high-performance composite parts out of two blends of PEEK filament in dual extrusion on Zortrax Endureal industrial 3D printer. The first prototype composite parts made out of standard PEEK and experimental electrically conductive PEEK developed by ESA have been successfully fabricated on the Zortrax Endur...
3D printing market poised to garner maximum revenues
Demand of 3D printing in the medical industry for manufacturing of personalised medical implants and prostheses, as well as mass production without high cost with specified design in aerospace industry, will boost the 3D Printing market in upcoming years. Moreover, the major factor driving the market growth is the growing use of 3D printing in rapid prototyping, or real-time prototyping which benefits the whole design and production process, ulti...
