Reference Designs

PMP10705 is a multi-output automotive power supply using the LM5175 and LM5140 controller ICs, and TPS61251 regulator IC. The design accepts an input voltage of 8Vin to 18Vin, using the LM5175 4-switch buck-boost to provide an intermediate voltage 16.5V at 6A. The LM5140 takes either the 16.5V as the input or the battery input voltage using a diode OR configuration and bucks down to two individual 3.3V rails, one at 3A for standby power, and one at 4A for system power. The TPS61251 is a low Vin integrated switch synchronous boost regulator which takes the 3.3V/3A rail and boost up to 5V at 200mA. The design also uses two TPS1H100B load switches to supply 2.2A and 1.6A of current from the 16.5V rail.
