VMEbus(TM) one of the most widely used backplanes in the industry has generated numerous end products by using third-party boards mechanical hardware software and backplane driver chips. The VME double-edged source-synchronous transfer (2eSST) protocol needs an I/O driver to transmit signals along the VMEbus at significantly higher speeds than those achievable with the VME64 standard.
