USB connectivity on the TMS320F280x™ family of Digital Signal Controllers may be achieved using the TUSB3410 USB 2.0 to UART bridge chip. All needed USB descriptors and firmware for the TUSB3410 device are bootable from the on-chip memory of the TMS320F280x device through the I2C port and hence an external EEPROM is not needed in the system.
