SiC module enables 175°C continuous junction operation

With half the weight and volume of a standard 62 mm module, Wolfspeed’s CAB450M12XM3 maximises power density while minimising loop inductance and enabling simple power bussing.

The CAB450M12XM3 is the first part to be launched in the XM3 module platform, with additional offerings to be released in the future.

The module’s SiC-optimised packaging enables 175°C continuous junction operation, with a high-reliability silicon nitride (Si₃N₄) power substrate to ensure mechanical robustness under extreme conditions.

It is ideal for demanding applications such as EV chargers, UPS and traction drives.

Additional key features include a module size of 80 mm x 53 mm x 19 mm, 1200V blocking voltage and 450A current rating.
