These customisations cover input and output voltage and currents, frequency ranges, power consumption, output voltage regulation, ripple and noise characteristics, efficiency and plug-types. Requirements for bespoke products from 100 pieces upwards can be catered for.

Ideal Power's External Interchangeable Power Supply range further improves the versatility of external PSUs by allowing multifunctional use as either a plug-top or a desk-top power supply in one unit. It also features an interchangeable plug-top, allowing end users to select the correct AC plug type for the country it is to be used in. The ability to convert between a plug-top and desk-top power supply allows the same product to operate in difficult locations, where under-floor or gangway sockets prevent traditional plug-tops from being used.

To complete its range of external power supply products, Ideal Power also offers an eight-way set of DC connectors. These enable the polarity of the DC output to be changed by adding an adapter, which allows the PSU to be used in both centre positive or centre negative configurations.
