Leading power specialist company Powersolve has announced the JB400 series of 400W power supplies. Designed for those applications that require high power levels from a compact package, versions can also be made available for medical and information technology equipment (ITE) applications. The new units are available in single or dual output versions and as enclosed or U channel packaged units – both with a low profile that will fit a 1U rack.

The JB400 Series will provide up to 400W with integral fan or forced air-cooling and up to 250W convection cooled. Input is a universal 90 to 264VAC 47-63Hz with Active PFC to EN61000-3-2 ‘D’. Single output voltages are available from 2 to 58V while dual output versions are available with a primary output of either 3.3, 5 or 12V and a second output of either 12 or 24V. Medical versions feature <300mA earth leakage current.

Standard approvals include UL/cUL60950/UL/cUL60601-1, TUV EN60950/TUV EN60601-1. EMC to EN55022’B’, CISPR 22 ‘B’ and FCC’B’. All models are available with optional Medical Safety or ITE safety approvals.

Standard features include remote sense, remote On/Off, Power on LED Indicator and power good signal. Optional features include AC power fail, current sharing with built-in Or’ing diodes and remote margining offering 50% adjustment on output.

Protection includes undervoltage input protection, overvoltage output protection, short circuit and over power protection.

Enclosed versions measure 8 x 5 x 1.5in (203.2 x 127 x 38.1mm) and the U channel units measure 9 x 5 x 1.6in (228.6 x 127 x 40.6mm).
