In stock at distributor Anglia Components is Analog Devices’ LTC2971 series of two-Channel ±60V Power System Managers (PSM).

They offer four different channel output options enabling them to cover a wide range of application needs.

The two-channel PSM utilises an I2C/SMBus/PMBus interface for easy integration, the devices feature accurate input current and energy measurement and are capable of managing ±60V supplies.

It monitors input current and input voltage, and calculates input power and energy.

These high voltage PSMs can be used to sequence, trim (servo), margin, supervise, manage faults, provide telemetry and log faults.

The integrated DACs use a proprietary soft-connect algorithm to minimise supply disturbances. The LTC2971 series also has onboard supervisory functions which include over and under voltage and temperature threshold limits for two power supply output channels and one input channel.

The device has programmable fault responses which can disable the power supplies, configure retry, and trigger black box EEPROM storage of fault status and associated telemetry.

An internal 16-bit ADC on the device monitors two output voltages, two output currents, two external temperatures, input voltage and current, and die temperature.

Input power, energy, and output power are also calculated. The onboard programmable watchdog timer monitors microprocessor activity and resets if necessary whilst a single wire bus synchronises power supplies across multiple ADI Power System Management (PSM) devices.
