New Yorker Electronics releases VPG’s RWX / APR foil resistor series
New Yorker Electronics has announced the release of VPG Foil Resistors’ RWX Wraparound Foil Resistors.
These high-precision, stable bulk metal foil resistors, qualified to AEC-Q200 standards with resistance tolerances up to ±0.01%, are available in MIL-PRF-55342 or ALPHA Typical.
Operating within a temperature range of –65°C to +155°C, the new VPG Series comes in three types. The RWAX measures 1.6 x 0.8mm with a 22V rating, the RWBX is 2.0 x 1.25mm rated at 45V, and the RWCX is 3.2 x 1.6mm with a 95V max working voltage. Available in 0603, 0805, and 1206 packages, these resistors offer versatile application possibilities.
In terms of specifications, the RWAX has a rated power of 0.1W and a temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) of 0±6 ppm/°C, covering a resistance range from 100Ω to 5kΩ and 1kΩ to 5kΩ. The RWBX, with a 0.2W rating, has a TCR of 0±10 ppm/°C (30Ω to 100Ω) and 0±5 ppm/°C (1kΩ to 10kΩ). The RWCX, the third variant, offers a 0.3W rating and a TCR of 0±10 ppm/°C (30Ω to 100Ω) and 0±5 ppm/°C for the 100Ω to 30kΩ range.
The RWX is part of VPG Foil Resistor’s APR product line, a platform of standardised precision resistors that are made-to-stock and readily available. This range addresses market needs for applications like 5G or EV charging equipment, offering off-the-shelf, standard surface-mount resistors in tape and reel packaging, and power current-sense resistors in various resistance values.
Manufactured in VPG’s fully automated plant in Japan, the minimum order quantity (MOQ) is 100.
