UltraVolt, Inc. today announced a new line of benchtop high voltage power systems, the BT Series. Continuing in UltraVolt’s tradition of high reliability and efficiency, the BT Series offers flexible output voltages and polarity for the benchtop high voltage power supply market. Each system houses a high voltage power supply from UltraVolt’s microsize/micropower product line (the XS, US, V, M, or D Series) and operates in either local or remote mode.
Standard features include a clear output-voltage display, power grid input, positive or negative polarity, tight line/load regulation, low ripple, excellent stability, overload protection, and optional shielded HV output cable. BT Series power systems are optimal for design engineers in research and laboratory fields with applications such as photomultiplier tubes (PMT), photodiodes (PD), high voltage testing, and avalanche photo diodes (APD).

“UltraVolt has supported customer needs to have turnkey operation of our high voltage modules in R&D, Engineering, and test applications with the 1 to 4 channel HV rack since 2004,” said James Morrison, CEO & Co-Founder. “Users have asked us for a smaller, less expensive turnkey solution for a single UltraVolt module to be operated on the bench top. The new BT (benchtop) does just that. Users can operate single units or units stacked side-by-side or one-on-one for as many outputs as needed for a project. The BT Series is also economically a better value for users not needing a rack mount unit, yet features the same high quality and high performance.”

BT Series systems are single channeled and have output voltages from 0 to 100V up to 0 to 6kV. Power levels range from 0 to 100mW up to 0 to 6W. Input voltage is a universal 85-264VAC.
