Logic-level MOSFETs, which already turn on at typical microcontroller output voltages of 2 V to 5 V, are used in many designs.

Bruckewell offers a range of these MOSFETs as N-channel, P-channel and combined N/P versions. Bruckewell also has the advantage of a current short delivery time of approx. 8-12 weeks.

The Bruckewell products are available from authorised distributor Ineltek

This type of MOSFETs is widely used in various applications. In many cases, the aim is to eliminate the need for an external MOSFET driver and to switch through the transistors directly from an I/O pin of a microcontroller.

Battery powered devices, which operate from only one secondary cell, run from operating voltages between 4.2 V and 2.7 V (e.g. Li-Po cell). Therefore, it is necessary that MOSFETs directly connected to the microcontroller already open at relatively low Gate-Source voltages.

This requirement also applies to the implementation of controlling small motors using full or half bridges, to eliminate the need for external MOSFET driver ICs

Bruckewell has developed a range of MOSFETs for this application. The derivatives of this family are suited for applications with Drain-Source voltages of 20V/30V (N-Channel) or -20/-30V (P-Channel). Available package types for this voltage range are typical SOT-23, DFN3x3 or SOP-8 (for higher drain currents).

The MS23N06A (30V, N-channel, 4.9A ID@70°C) can be used as an example. Gate-Threshold voltages between 0.5 V(min) and 1.2 V(max) are the precondition for the other characteristics required here.

The MST66C04D is suitable for space saving motor control of small motors. AEC-Q101 qualification is available for new types such as the MS23N00.

Bruckewell continues to expand its portfolio. Currently, another N-channel MOSFET as 20V type with a max. RDS(on)=7.2mOhm at VGS=2.5V and ID=9A(@25°C) in SOP-8 package is in preparation.

Founded in 2007, Bruckewell has been continuously developing diodes, bipolar transistors and MOSFETs as well as LED drivers.

In addition to products in classic Si technology, products of the latest technology generation are available with SiC diodes (soon as well SiC MOSFETs) in common package types as well as KGD or wafer.
