One of the UK's leading providers of electric energy solutions has announced an OEM deal with the world-renowned Sunsynk brand to produce a brand new energy storage system, set to revolutionise the new-build housing industry.

GL, which has been supplying electrical products to developers for more than 20 years, has a reputation of being a forward thinking, trusted supplier. The company now provides all-electric solutions to meet carbon zero targets for new homes.

The Worcester-based company has partnered with Sunsynk, one of the world's leading inverter manufacturers, to produce GridBuddy - an all-in-one box power storage solution the latest hybrid inverter technology synchronised with the latest PO4 lithium battery.

Designed to be site-ready for the UK new-build industry, it is a 'plug and play' product that will initially be available in three models; 2.5kW designed to operate with 2-4 solar panels, 2.5kW designed to work with 4-6 panels and 3.6kW designed to work with 6-8 panels.

Anthony Ottway, MD of GL said: "I have developed many products over the years with Keith and have watched with interest as Sunsynk developed energy storage systems over the last decade. Bringing together their expertise and my knowledge of the new-build industry has led to the development of "GridBuddy" which we are all very excited about."

In addition to its sleek and space saving design, GridBuddy cuts no corners operationally, running on the award-winning software platform 'Sunsynk Connect'. Through the app, users access real-time monitoring and energy consumption, while remote monitoring enables issues to be troubleshooted without any callouts.

Keith Geogh, CEO of Sunsynk said: "Teaming up with GL, which is so well established and trusted in the new-build industry, has been very exciting for us. GridBuddy will revolutionise large-volume rollouts of battery storage for new homes, being quick and easy to install and cost effective to the bottom line."

GridBuddy will be available from November 2023 ready for a full launch at Futurebuild in March 2024.

Based in Great Western Business Park, GL provides all-electric, sustainable solutions from electric vehicle charging points (EVCP), energy storage and alternative heating technologies.
