Fairchild's Primary Side Regulation PWM Controllers Reduce Space
Fairchild Semiconductor enables a simplified and highly efficient circuit design for battery chargers and power supplies with its series of primary-side regulation pulse width modulation controllers. These EZSWITCH primary-side-regulation controllers integrate a primary-side regulation PWM controller with a power MOSFET that can easily achieve tight constant voltage and constant current without complex secondary-side feedback circuitry.

With a start-up current of only 10µA, these PWM controllers facilitate the use of a large start-up resistance for further power savings. In addition, the EZSWITCH™ series features a frequency hopping technique to meet EMI requirements in battery chargers for mobile phones and other portable devices.
