Bel Fuse launches liquid-cooled DC-DC converter
Bel Fuse has introduced the 350DNG40-12-8, a second-generation 4 kW liquid-cooled DC-DC converter as part of its Bel Power Solutions range.
Designed to operate with input voltages from 240 to 450VDC, this converter delivers up to 4000W of output power, making it ideal for powering low-voltage accessories in hybrid and electric vehicles. It is equipped with full galvanic isolation between input and output, alongside a range of protection features that allow it to adapt to varying loads or input conditions, ensuring high reliability even in challenging environments.
The converter is fitted with a CAN bus serial interface and holds IP67 and IP6k9k ratings, making it particularly suitable for demanding applications such as construction machinery, underground mining, on- and off-highway vehicles, and marine equipment.
Additionally, it offers optional Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS) functionality, including CAN FD and cybersecurity features. Following rigorous performance evaluations, it has earned e-Mark Certification, ensuring compliance with ECE regulations.
"Our new converter sets a new benchmark in power solutions for hybrid and electric vehicles with its advanced design, high reliability, and flexibility, ideal for demanding industries like construction, mining, and marine applications,” said Frank Vondenhoff, Director eMobility, Product & Business Development, Bel Fuse. “With features like CAN bus integration and enhanced security options, we’re helping meet the evolving needs of manufacturers and operators while maintaining strict regulatory compliance."
