AC/DCs from RECOM tailored to reflow processes

The RAC03-K/SMT series offers a cost-effective solution, providing 3W output at 3.3, 5, 12, 15, 18, or 24VDC from a universal AC input of 85 to 265VAC (120 to 370VDC), all within a compact 27.7 x 27.83mm footprint, including 'gullwing' SMT terminations. The height of the package is 19mm. These components can operate up to an ambient temperature of 60°C without derating (50°C for 3.3 and 5V outputs), and up to 80°C at reduced power.

The RAC03-K/SMT series adheres to common safety standards such as IEC/EN/UL62368-1, EN60335-1, and IEC61558-1. The components are classified as Limited Power Source, reinforced isolation, Class II, and suitable for over-voltage category OVCII installations up to 6000m altitude (IEC 60335-1). EMC directive standards are also met, including conducted emissions to ‘Class B’ without the need for external components (floating output). No-load power consumption is typically 100mW, and the components meet Eco-design standards for standby use.

The RAC03-K/SMT DC outputs are regulated and fully protected against over-current and short circuits. Enhancing reliability further, the series achieves an MTBF close to 2 million hours according to MIL-HDBK-217, GB conditions at 25°C ambient.
