Ncell Systems Modernizes Manufacturing Automation with ManageLinx Remote Access Server from Lantronix
Lantronix, Inc. today announced Ncell Systems, provider of enterprise and manufacturing automation solutions for the precision metalworking industry, has deployed its ManageLinx Remote Access solution. ManageLinx provides secure access to any IP-enabled equipment, even behind firewalls. Integrated with Ncell’s manufacturing software, ManageLinx enables Ncell to remotely monitor systems and analysis tools at multiple customer sites from one central location. The integrated solution reduces truckrolls, decreasing Ncell’s response time and reducing customer service costs.
Ncell’s Manufacturing Automation Group provides integrated solutions that improve efficiency and resource utilization for precision manufacturers. Its customer base, largely comprised of contract manufacturers, run the complicated process of creating product orders, managing raw materials, detailing process flow, creating the product and shipping it to the buyer. Ncell’s business-system intelligence software drives the manufacturing process, automating each step - traditionally, an expensive and time-consuming process. Often, a small company with expensive automation equipment can’t afford on-site monitoring and troubleshooting, despite a revenue-dependency on that equipment. ManageLinx broadens Ncell’s product line, enabling Ncell to remotely oversee this process for customers, affording smaller companies the ability to proactively manage the automation process. “Often, a project can involve equipment from several manufacturers with five or six different IP devices, and Ncell needed a way to centrally manage and monitor these systems and take corrective actions without going to the customer sites,” said Paul Blizel, VP sales at Ncell. “The ability to troubleshoot quickly is imperative to Ncell’s business. ManageLinx lets us remotely and proactively watch what is happening at those sites, connecting to several devices at one time and simplifying implementation from the customer’s standpoint. Ncell plans to offer ManageLinx as a service, including it as part of the common package we sell to our entire customer base.”
“We are pleased to work with a cutting-edge, innovative company like Ncell to help grow their business,” said Jerry Chase, CEO of Lantronix. “Reducing truck rolls, saving costs and improving customer service is what ManageLinx is all about.”
Lantronix’ simplicity of implementation and flexible operational features afford the unique ability to monitor one device while connecting to yet another in a secure manner. This enables Ncell to broker the manufacturing automation network. Using ManageLinx, Ncell can use one device to monitor and control others, giving access to any vendor who needs it at any point in time.
Companies can implement their own procedures to monitor the manufacturing process, but that requires a lot of time, money and maintenance. ManageLinx offers Ncell instant access to a customer’s system by the people who need to look at them. The product empowers Ncell to enhance its own product services model to:
* Save time, increase profitability and improve customer service
* Deploy with ease – no client software; no network configuration
* Maintain customer IT policy and firewall integrity
* Reduce technician service calls
