Innovative interconnect technology optimised for the photovoltaic industry is the central focus of the Molex stand at this year’s European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition (EU PV SEC) in Valencia.

Among the many highlights in the SolarSpec™ range is the SolarSpec Junction Box; UL and TÜV certified and suited for automated placement, the SolarSpec Junction Box is already being widely accepted by solar panel manufacturers for simplifying the panel-assembly process and reducing cost significantly.

Molex developed the SolarSpec Junction Box to address the specific needs of crystalline panel manufacturers by simplifying the panel-assembly process and making production more cost-effective, thereby reducing assembly time and applied costs. A new generation of Junction Box will be unveiled during the show designed for thin-film solar panels. The SolarSpec Thin-Film Junction Box embraces the requirements for automated assembly and for much lower profiles, matching the requirements specified by thin-film panel manufacturers.

The SolarSpec range of UV, water, dust and heat resitant connectors and cordsets complements Molex‘s product range used in applications such as PV-Tracking Systems and Concentrated Solar Power. For Inverter applications Molex offers custom interconnect products as well as a wide range of standard, off-the-shelf products. Molex is also a global leader in custom user-interfaces, membrane & capacitive switches and flex circuits.

Throughout the exhibition, experts from Molex will be on hand to provide visitors with advice and guidance on selecting interconnect solutions for their own specific solar applications, with the emphasis on combining efficiency with versatility, durability and value for money.
