Laird Technologies Expands EMI Gemini Multi-Extrusion Gasket Product Line
Laird Technologies announced the expansion of its electromagnetic interference (EMI) Gemini multi-extrusion gasket product line. The expanded product line includes the Gemini 81 and Gemini 93 EMI shielding gaskets. Both high-performance gaskets combine a reliable environmental silicone elastomer seal with an electrically conductive elastomer. The Gemini 81 includes a silver/aluminum conductive elastomer while the Gemini 93 includes a nickel/graphite conductive elastomer, resulting in a cost-effect EMI shielding product with lower material cost and an improved environmental seal against water, moisture, dust and mildly corrosive atmospheric conditions due to smog.
“The cost-effective Gemini EMI multi-extrusion elastomer shielding product line combines the strength of silicone rubber with Laird Technologies’ proprietary conductive elastomer EMI shielding materials and knowledge,” said John Slagle, Laird Technologies Product Line Manager for North America and Europe - ECE, FIP, and Absorbers. “This results in improved EMI performance over the lifetime of the gasket.”The Gemini 81 and Gemini 93 shielding gaskets are available in both standard and custom profiles. Adhesive is applicable upon request for ease of installation.
