Kyzen, a world leading provider of environmentally responsible precision cleaning products for electronics and high-technology manufacturing operations, announces that Dr. Mike Bixenman will teach a Professional Development Course on the IPC-CH-65B Guidelines for Cleaning of Printed Boards and Assemblies at the upcoming IPC Midwest Conference & Exhibition, scheduled to take place September 21-22, 2011 at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel and Convention Center in Schaumburg, IL.
The IPC-CH-65B handbook combined the collaborative efforts of end-users (customers), cleaning equipment companies, cleaning agent companies, solder paste companies, industry consultants and IPC personnel. The handbook is a valuable resource designed to help engineers in all aspects of the cleaning process. Thirteen chapters make up the cleaning handbook, many of which address common questions and concerns. The handbook will be released prior to IPC Midwest.

The course will discuss contamination and its effects on PCBs, cleaning value, designing assemblies with cleaning in mind, process development and verification, assembly residues and their cleanability, materials compatibility, cleaning agent options, cleaning equipment, environmental considerations, and rework/repair.

Co-founder and CTO of Kyzen, Dr. Mike Bixenman has more than 35 years of experience in the precision cleaning field, and is an active researcher and innovator. Dr. Bixenman chaired the IPC-CH-65B Cleaning Handbook that will be released this fall and the IPC-7526 Stencil Cleaning Handbook.
