First DIMA International Conformal Coating Workshop a Complete Success for Kyzen

DIMA’s goal was to provide a complete industry workshop without product-specific, commercial presentations. Product managers from different multinationals selling the same products were invited to share their in-depth knowledge with the participants. Each step in the conformal coating process was highlighted—cleaning, design requirements, coating, application methods, reliability, inspection and quality control. Companies who sponsored this event included; Electrolube, DCT, Zestron, KOLB, Nutek, Kyzen, MBtech Group, Lackwerke Peters GmbH + Co KG, IVT GmbH, Henkel, HumiSeal, Gen3 Systems and Helmut Fischer GmbH & Co KG.

Serge Tuerlings, Kyzen’s European Technical Manager, gave a collaborative presentation each day on the importance of cleaning. Tuerlings said, “The ICCW gave us an exciting opportunity to provide non-commercial technical information to the participants who, at the end of the day, had collected sufficient information in order to best determine which cleaning process worked for them.”

In addition to the seminars, DIMA provided the participants with a live conformal coating assembly line from beginning to end. Kyzen’s award-winning Aquanox A4241 was successfully used in the cleaning stage prior to the conformal coating process on the test boards given to registered participants at the end of each day.
