Answering the need for both low power consumption and a small form factor in portable and consumer designs, Fairchild Semiconductor’s FAN4931 operational amplifier consumes only 200µA of power and is housed in a small 5-pin SC-70 package, with an industry-standard footprint.
This operational amplifier, the FAN4931, offers design flexibility with its common mode voltage range extending beyond the positive and negative rails, providing designers with added flexibility. The product operates from 2.5V to 5V, accommodating the needs of sensor interfaces, disc drives, cell phones, GPS devices, MP3 players and a wide spectrum of portable and consumer products.

The FAN4931 is another example of Fairchild’s broad solutions that extend battery life and conserve board space in portable and consumer designs. It complements Fairchild’s existing portfolio of operational amplifiers, including the FAN4174 that has similar features with an alternative pin-out and the dual channel FAN4274.
