Perle Systems unveils IDS-100HP PoE Switches
Perle Systems, a prominent developer of innovative device networking hardware, has unveiled its IDS-100HP PoE Switches, transforming the landscape of industrial networking.
These switches, notable for their power and efficiency, incorporate features distinct from those found in standard unmanaged PoE switches.
The IDS-100HP Switches, with eight PoE ports providing up to 90W and a total power availability of 270W, cater to the needs of power-intensive devices such as PTZ cameras, ensuring operational flexibility without power distribution concerns. The are able to endure extreme temperatures, resist vibrations and shocks, and comply with rigorous safety standards which makes them an ideal choice in challenging industrial environments.
The IDS-100HP PoE Switches are distinguished in the unmanaged switch market by two notable features. The watchdog function allows the IDS-100HP switch to act intelligently, preventing packet loss from powered devices in the network. Should a device become non-responsive, the IDS-100HP can reboot it independently, ensuring uninterrupted service for other connected devices.
The integration of QoS (Quality of Service) support for EtherNet/IP and PROFINET facilitates traffic prioritisation and efficient resource management, bolstering network performance and operational efficiency.
John Feeney, COO of Perle Systems, commented: "We are thrilled to launch the IDS-100HP PoE Switches, which offer a unique combination of rugged performance, enhanced functionality, and advanced features. With the watchdog feature and QoS support, our customers can experience improved network reliability and optimized resource management, increasing productivity and cost savings."
