Fairchild Semiconductor Extends Analog Video Filter Leadership

This 6-Channel video filter also offers very robust ESD protection of 9kV, protecting applications from adverse electrostatic discharge events and eliminating the need for discrete protection devices. Part of the industry’s largest portfolio of video filters, the FMS6646 is the second member of Fairchild’s video filter family to support 1080p HD.

Through integration, the FMS6646 reduces board space and complexity by eliminating numerous discrete filtering components as well as ESD protection diodes. The FMS6646 allows the inputs and outputs to be AC- or DC-coupled, reducing up to twelve components and saving as much as 10 percent board space, compared to a discrete implementation. This product has a wide operating range from 3V to 5V, increasing design flexibility.
