Vishay Extends Power Ratings of Precision Thin Film Chip Resistor Array Series
Vishay has announced that it has extended the available power ratings for its ACAS AT series of precision thin film chip resistor arrays with the release of the new ACAS 0606 AT. Featuring two integrated resistors on one substrate, the resistor array offers a high film temperature of + 155 °C, a maximum power dissipation rating of 0.125 W per resistor, and is AEC-Q200 qualified.
The The new Vishay Beyschlag ACAS 0606 AT resistor array offers defined tolerance matching down to 0.1 % (equivalent to ± 0.05 %) and TCR tracking down to 10 ppm/K (equivalent to ± 5 ppm/K), making it ideally suited for precision analog circuit, voltage divider, feedback circuit, and signal conditioning applications that require extraordinarily stable fixed resistor ratios.
The device delivers stable performance for automotive electronics, including engine control units, transmission controls, information, safety, power supply, body electronics, and braking systems; industrial electronics, such as energy management, measurement control, steering technology, sensors, scales, and bridged and precision amplifiers; telecommunication electronics such as display technology and base stations; and consumer electronics including high-end audio and studio technology.
With an absolute TCR down to ± 25 ppm/K and an absolute tolerance of ± 0.25 %, the ACAS 0606 AT features a maximum film temperature of + 155 °C and a 75-V operating voltage. The device is offered with resistance values from 47 Ω to 150 kΩ in two equal or different resistor values, with a maximum resistance ratio of 20:1.
The resistor array offers a low cost when compared to using two high-precision discrete resistors, and its small 1.5-mm by 1.6-mm package enables the design of high-density circuits. Suitable for processing on automatic SMD assembly systems, the new device is RoHS-compliant and compatible with lead (Pb)-free and tin/lead (Sn/Pb) reflow and vapor-phase soldering processes.
The ACAS 0606 AT also complies with the GADSL and the CEFIC-EECA-EICTA list of legal restrictions on hazardous substances. This includes full compliance with 2000/53/EC End of Vehicle life (ELV), 2000/53/EC Annex II to End of Vehicle Life (ELV II) directives, 2002/95/EC Restriction of the use of Hazardous Substances (RoHS), and 2002/96/EC Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE).
