The Oslon Signal LED range from Osram Opto Semiconductors has now been extended by yet another color. With its brilliant shade of green, the Oslon Signal Verde LED is exceptionally suitable for traffic light systems. It also meets the requirements of major international standards. Its brilliant green, based on semiconductor technology, stays clearly visible even in very bright sunshine.
If you were to ask motorists around the world for their favorite color of traffic lights, the answer is obvious – “green”. This signal color could become even more vibrant in future, thanks to the new green high-performance LED Oslon Signal Verde from Osram Opto Semiconductors. Of cause traffic lights do not only need green and so the Oslon Signal in verde can perfectly be combined with red and yellow of the same Oslon family.

The high quality of the components used ensures an even shade. This specific green with a wavelength of 503 nm can therefore be installed in any traffic light system worldwide. Thanks to its intense bright color it remains highly visible even in bright sunshine.

Efficient and robust technology
The edge length of the individual LEDs measures 3 mm. A lens with a radiation angle of 80° guarantees focused light emission. This ensures the signal light only shines in the direction it is supposed to. Based on the tried and tested Oslon package platform, the new LED can also be incorporated into existing traffic light systems at low cost. In addition, the high-performance ThinGaN chip technology used enables operation at very high currents and at high voltage. Rapid or pulsed signal changes in traffic lights can be implemented with no problem. The Oslon Signal Verde LED is equipped with an insulated heat sink. This makes it easy and convenient to install, especially when FR4 circuit boards are used. With its long operating life and low energy requirements, virtually nothing can get in the way of a long-lasting green wave.
