To illustrate the energy efficiency, cost effectiveness, and simplicity of retrofitting traditional lamps with an LED light source, Aimtec is showcasing its compact, cylindrical AMEPR5-AZ LED drivers within table lamps in its booth(B2,433) at this week’s Electronica (Munich, Germany).
Taking a common table lamp (EGLO Troy 3 60W lamps), Aimtec has converted it to an LED lamp using its AMEPR5-1435AZ cylindrical AC/DC with LUXdrive’s A008 LED light module featuring 3 high-powered CREE XP-G type 6500K white LEDsand an OHMITE S series heat-sink for the LEDs. The lamps will be on display during Electronica, along with an interactive, open frame model that illustrates the simplicity of the retrofit for OEM applications.

Designed to fit a common light bulb socket, Aimtec’s AMEPR5-AZ series of AC/DC LED drivers support output voltages ranging from 3 to 16VDC, with constant output currents from 0.3A up to 1A for a maximum output power of 5watt. Universal input voltage range is 90-264VAC, in addition to accepting a high voltage DC range of 120-370VDC.

Each of the five models in the AMEPR5-AZ series operates at a temperature range of 0°C to 80°C within an IP67 rated case and feature continuous short circuit protection, over load protection.
