Photocathode enables high near-infrared sensitivity for Micro PMT
A new multialkali photocathode has been developed by Hamamatsu, providing high near-infrared sensitivity for its next-generation Micro PMT. The Micro PMT is an ultra-compact photomultiplier device that is manufactured with semiconductor manufacturing technology and can be produced in high volumes.
The newest version of the Micro PMT featuring the new multialkali photocathode will be available as three products: the H12400-01-01 Micro PMT assembly with built-in voltage divider circuit, and the H12403/H12402 series Micro PMT modules with built-in ultra-compact power supply. Each product is designed to be easily integrated into instruments, and is expected to help the development of high-precision personal-use instruments in applications such as medical diagnostics and environmental monitoring. Samples of the new Micro PMT products will be available to instrument manufacturers from the 1st November 2013.
