Low cost counter delivers 800Kcps
COUNT-S, a series of single photon counters designed for students, has been released Laser Components. Available with an active area of 500µm, the series features detection efficiencies of 65% at 670nm and 45% at 810nm. Dark count rates in the range of 1000-5000cps are also provided counters, making the counters low cost.
Featuring count rates of up to 800Kcps, the COUNT-S series is particularly suitable for students in the field of laser physics and quantum optics. Applications in which the counter series is suitable include particle sizing, fluorescence, quantum cryptography and spectroscopy.
Similar to the COUNT series, the COUNT-S series can be fibre coupled and is available with a suitable power supply on an optional basis.
