Bivar uses a modular approach with the SZR series which makes sourcing a flexible light pipe simple by offering a right angle flexible light pipe system that is low-profile for applications that need LED light routed in a tight space.

Designed with the most compatible LED, flexible light pipe, and lens combination, the ZeroLightBleed flexible light pipe system provides maximum light transmission while eliminating light cross talk between light pipes.

By utilising ZeroLightBleed technology, the light pipes eliminate disruptive light bleed in and around the circuit board, which is known to cause false readings, muted and blended colours, and unwanted glow in the chassis.

The SZR Series is designed to capture as much light as possible at the entrance and when more than one light pipe system is used in the same application, colour is used on the fibre jacket for visual identification.

The ZeroLightBleed SZR series is available in a wide variety of options: lens styles, unique fibre colours, and IP54 protection.

The individual system components have been paired to best optimise the system. Colour is used on the fibre light pipe jacket for visual identification when more than one SZR light pipe system is used in the same application. With the right-angle adapter, Bivar have solutions for vertical and horizontal board placements.

The ZeroLightBleed adapter technology allows system designers to use multiple colours in close proximity without colour crosstalk.

Individual parts have been paired to best optimize the system when using Bivar surface mount chip LED parts like SM0402, SM0603, SM0805 or SM0807. This is a good entry level product for prototyping and development.
