CCTV cameras save on installation costs
The CCTV security portfolio at RS Components has been extended with three new product ranges from FLIR Systems. The new products include HD video cameras, thermal imaging cameras and network video recorders designed to save installation and upgrade costs by operating over a building’s existing network or cabling infrastructure.
The FLIR IP (Internet Protocol) range includes weatherproof bullet cameras, vandal resistant dome cameras and an eight-camera network video recorder (NVR), designed to be connected and powered via Ethernet infrastructure.
Three system bundles with a range of NVR and camera configurations are also available. All configurations deliver HD quality images alongside advanced features such as FLIR Cloud, which provides secure remote access.
FLIR’s MPX (Megapixel over Coax) CCTV technology delivers up to 2.1MP video quality over a single RG59/RG6 compatible coaxial cable, allowing existing analogue surveillance systems to be upgraded to HD without the expense of re-cabling.
Alongside zero-latency HD video and audio transmission, the MPX product range supports UTC (Up-the-Coax) control of PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) cameras and OSD (on-screen display) menu options. FLIR MPX products include new Mini Eyeball bullet and dome cameras plus camera-and-DVR bundles, ideal for retrofitting.
Two new FLIR TCX Mini Bullet thermal imaging cameras can be used alongside IP and MPX range products to provide clear visual surveillance in complete darkness (without illumination), in bright sunlight, or through smoke, dust or light fog.
FLIR’s proprietary Lepton long-wave infrared (LWIR) technology allows 24/7 high-contrast thermal video capability to be combined with video motion detection (VMD) in a single affordable camera. Applications include intrusion detection, video alarm verification, lighting control, retail traffic flow and queue management.
