Sensors made smarter with custom ICs from Swindon Silicon Systems
Click for Smarter Sensors
Smart sensors are a crucial and integral element linking the physical world with the IIoT. Every feature and function of a smart sensor can be improved and integrated into an ASIC or a SiP solution providing huge advantages over traditional board level solutions. Without doubt, a custom IC will make your product technically and commercially better than your competition.

Small size without compromise
Read more
Engineers are often challenged with making system designs smaller or packing additional functionality in the same amount of printed circuit board (PCB) space.  This white paper addresses the key design considerations for working with small-package analog products to help you understand how you can leverage the benefits of these smaller devices in your design.

The RISC-V open-source extensible ISA gathers momentum
Read more
New instruction set architectures don't come about very often in the semiconductor processor industry. The last significant change saw Arm develop cores and sell them as an IP license, in an instant changing how leading vendors of that era go about designing processors. Now, in a time of trade-wars and a pandemic, the availability of an open-source, royalty-free, extensible ISA is proving to be a transformative and disruptive force. TEMPO solutions for fibre testing in harsh environments
Read more
Fibres are commonly used for deployment in environments with high levels of electrical interference (EMI). To carry out installation and maintenance measurements requires test instruments that can operate in such environments. TEMPO’s range of test instruments have been engineered for use in areas with such high electrical interference, they have enhanced performance: MIL-STD-461E, Method RS103, tested up to 200V/M.

SCD4x evaluation kit for the CO2 sensor
Read more
Sensirion has presented the SEK-SCD41 CO2 sensor evaluation kit. The SEK-SCD41 evaluation kit has been designed for easy and cost-efficient evaluation of Sensirion’s SCD4x CO2 sensor. High levels of carbon dioxide (CO2) compromise humans' cognitive performance and well-being. Thanks to new energy standards and better insulation, houses have become increasingly energy efficient. However, CO2 produced by the human metabolism can accumulate rapidly. Therefore, CO2 is a key indicator for indoor air quality.
