Trojan Electronics hits record 20% YoY growth
Trojan Electronics has expanded its team following a string of project wins and a record 20% growth year-on-year in revenue. The new personnel have joined following new client acquisition and in anticipation of increasing client demand.
Amongst the hires are eight new crew members taking its warehouse team to 64 full time employees. This figure includes a new team leader and a team leader support to join the business, who join the business immediately, with a further member in each position to join in November 2024.
Following Trojan’s latest electronics refurbishment deal with the iconic home appliance manufacturer, KitchenAid, the company has hired two new KitchenAid specialist engineers, two white goods engineers, and two e-commerce web traders. These engineering recruits will be responsible for repairing and refurbishing treasured home appliances, extending their operational lifespan indefinitely.
Trojan will also implement various training and development initiatives for existing team members to support their career progression. This includes a team leader development programme, DMAIC/Lean Six Sigma, Excel and Finance training for non-finance managers, bolstering e-commerce skills such as trading and selling on Amazon and Shopify, as well as creating simple HTML scripts.
Crucially, as the business looks to grow, it will also foster the professional development and progression of its employees through management training programmes including critical thinking and time management. For the Swansea-based company, this will bring much-needed skills training to the local area.
James Rigg, CEO of Trojan Electronics, said: “It’s fantastic to see the growth of our business and clients too. It’s a clear indication that electronic circularity is a growing topic in the boardroom of many electrical brands. Our offering at Trojan not only promotes sustainability but also improves customer satisfaction and revenue – thankfully, businesses are increasingly recognising that.
“Our mission is now to train and develop the next generation of electronic circularity talent and support career opportunities locally. As a business, we bring a wealth of opportunities to the local economy and job market – and importantly, it’s in a sector that has a key skill shortage.
“With the world increasingly turning its attention to the green economy, those with skills in sustainability are not only becoming more attractive to employers but are vital in our collective mission to meet climate goals.
“We’re proud to support more people get into environmentally focused jobs and as our business grows, we will ensure we continue to scale and bring new employment opportunities in this critical field to Swansea.”
Trojan Electronics provides contract electronic manufacturing, e-commerce solutions and repair and refurbish services to a range of tier-one brands including Flame Fireplaces, Melitta, and KitchenAid. In its mission to become carbon neutral across all areas of the business, it will continue to revolutionise the electronics sector in the UK and beyond.
