Eseye at embedded world 2023
At embedded world 2023, Paul Marshall CCO at Eseye Limited talks to Electronic Specifier's Editor, Mick Elliott, about the creation and founding of Eseye.
Who are Eseye
Headquartered in Guildford, just South of London, the Eseye team contains around 130-140 employees, and is aiming to provide its clients with connectivity devices back to the Cloud for Cloud applications that can drive growth and add value.
Meet the teams
The Eseye team is split into major branches that all specialise in their own ways to provide its customers with the best possible experience.
“We have a number of engineering departments who concentrate on different areas of the Internet of Things,” says Marshall.
“We have a hardware development department, which is really important for our customers who buy into connectivity because they can work with engineers who are experience the pains and the joys of building real IoT devices.
“We’ve got the technical consultants to work with customers, who dive into customers’ devices to say, ‘’how can we make your device that it works more reliable,’ which of course is what makes the device become a business success.
“We’ve got the operational department that actually keeps the network running,” explains Marshall.
Currently, Eseye has 15 data centres around the world connected to more than 20 network operators.
Finally, Marshall touched on Eseye’s SIM development team which ensures SIM devices that meet all the latest standards whilst also having the features required for IoT projects.
A range of applications
Marshall was happy to indulge on the types of areas and markets that Eseye sees a lot of its clients. Eseye has seen customers ranging from Healthcare, to water delivery, to monitoring systems but the world of connectivity is vast.
SmartConnect
As a final note, Marshall was keen to explain what he and the team at Eseye call ‘SmartConnect,’ which is a product which compiles all of Eseye’s knowledge and experience to produce a single device that allows customers to “get connected, stay connected, and report back,” says Marshall.
