In this demo, Paul Nickelsberg from Orchi Tech shows us how NXP's LPC1110 (running at 12 MHz) recognizes commands from a radio remote control to move the track light. The LPC1110 processor is operating at low power from a low power universal off-line AC power supply. Using the Radio Remote Control he shows how it can move a track light head up/down, and left/right.

NXP has today revealed the launch of its LPC408x and LPC407x microcontrollers, featuring advanced signal processing capabilities and a wide range of connectivity options, including USB 2.0, Ethernet and CAN 2.0B. Based on an ARM Cortex-M4 processor, the new LPC4000 microcontrollers offer drop-in compatibility with NXP’s popular LPC178x and LPC177x series, as well as multiple LPC2000 microcontrollers.

Synopsys has today announced that it has enhanced it DesignWare DDR Memory Interface IP portfolio with the release of support for DDR4 SDRAMs. By supporting DDR4 as well as DDR3 and LPDDR2/3 in a single core, the DesignWare DDR solution enables designers to interface with either high-performance or low-power SDRAMs in the same system-on-chip, which is a key requirement of many SoCs such as applications processors for smartphones and tablets.
