Cypress Semiconductor have today announced the keynote speeches that will be presented at the upcoming PSoC World international virtual embedded design conference on December 12 and 13. The speakers at the event include:
NXP Brings IP Security Cameras Into Higher Definition
In a breakthrough for HD network video surveillance, NXP has announced its Advanced ASC884xA and ASC885xA series of single-chip video processors for HD IP security cameras. These devices integrate virtually all functions required for an IP camera design – from raw image sensor data input, image signal processing, and H.264 compression, to secure encrypted transmission over the network through a Gigabit Ethernet interface.
Kilopass First to Demonstrate Antifuse Non-Volatile Memory IP With Successful Test Chips on TSMC 20nm Process
Kilopass Technology have today announced that its NVM IP is the first antifuse technology to achieve successful test chips on TSMC’s 20nm process. Analysis of the test chips containing Kilopass NVM IP memory modules validated manufacturability, process control tolerance and cell programming characteristics.
Binder-USA Releases IP67-Rated Connector when Unmated
Binder-USA releases the new Series 770 NCC connectors, which are IP67-rated in unmated condition. Applications are primarily in medical and industrial environments where frequent spillages and wash-downs are expected. The panel-mounted receptacle has an internal sliding cap that moves forward and seals the contact area when the plug is disconnected from the receptacle.
mikroElektronika - MINI boards in DIP40 form factor
MINI boards are small development boards containing PIC32 or ARM microcontroller. They are pin compatible with PIC16F887 and PIC18(L)F45K20 and perfectly fit into standard DIP40 sockets. MINIs operate on 3.3V power supply. On-board voltage regulator allows MINIs to be powered directly from USB cable.

Enabling the Super Devices of Tomorrow
Create Batteryless Designs: Energy Harvesting Kit
Jurgen Hoika, VP of Sales & Marketing EMEA at Energy Micro demonstrates Energy Harvesting Kit in collaboration with Linear Technology, and Wüerth Elektronik. With the kit, you can find energy harvesting solutions which help you run your applications without using any battery. The box is comprised of Energy Micro's Giant Gecko starter kit and Linear Technology's energy harvesting board.
NXP takes GaN mainstream at EuMW 2012
At European Microwave Week 2012 we demonstrate our GaN portfolio: CLF1G0060(S)-10, CLF1G0060(S)-30, CLF1G0035(S)-50, CLF1G0035(S)-100, CLF1G0035(S)-100P and CLF1G0035(S)-200P. Features include:
Arduino Video Tutorial 10: Twitter-controlled Mood Lamp
Massimo Banzi is back for the final Arduino tutorial video, and this time, he will be using a Wi-Fi shield module to connect his Arduino unit to the Internet. This obviously opens up a whole range of new possibilities, which Banzi explores in the video.
ARM Accredited Engineer (AAE) Program Launched at TechCon
ARM officially launches the ARM Accredited Engineer (AAE) Program at TechCon 2012. The program is the only global exam based certification which assesses an individual's knowledge of ARM technology.
