Code Ninjas, the world’s leading kids coding brand, is marking significant milestones with celebrations across Berkshire and Hertfordshire.

As the Langley kids coding dojo commemorates four years of equipping young learners with future-proof coding skills, a brand-new Code Ninjas centre opens its doors in St Albans, bringing the power of coding to a new community.

Since its opening in 2020, Code Ninjas Langley has been a haven for young tech enthusiasts. Offering a fun and supportive environment where kids learn to code while building video games, Code Ninjas has empowered over 650 students, teaching them essential skills in programming, problem-solving and creativity.

At Code Ninjas, kids aged 5–14 learn how to code in a safe, inclusive, and social learning environment where gaming is celebrated and STEM is cool. With the help and encouragement from Senseis – the name given to instructors – Code Ninjas allows kids to dive into fun, challenging, and rewarding projects and activities that will engage them and bring out skill sets that will benefit them as they grow.

While helping their ninjas – Code Ninjas’ affectionate name for their students – level up in their coding skills, Sital and the team have also been busy levelling up their Senseis. Many of these instructors began as Ninjas themselves and worked their way up to become Senseis like those who once guided them.

“We’ve had four students who’ve gone on to become Senseis, and one of them is just 14 and already volunteering with us,” explained Sital. “It’s incredible to see how the confidence they built as a ninja has now made them the very Senseis who used to inspire them. A lot of kids struggled socially after the pandemic, and our Senseis have been key in helping them open up, support each other, and build those connections. They’re not just teaching coding – they’re mentoring, encouraging ambitions and really helping our students grow. I couldn’t be prouder of them.”

Looking to the future, Code Ninjas Langley remains committed to creating a safe, social, and inclusive space for kids to grow in both skill and confidence. As they celebrate this four-year milestone, the dojo is eager to continue nurturing the next wave of tech-savvy creators.

Meanwhile, just under 25 miles away, Code Ninjas is expanding its footprint with a new coding centre opening in St Albans, UK. To celebrate the grand opening on Sunday, 29th September 2024, the St Albans team is hosting a free ‘Gaming Extravaganza’ event at St Columba’s College.

Led by Meha Meghani, Co-Owner of Code Ninjas St Albans, the new dojo will bring the franchise’s unique blend of fun and education to the heart of Hertfordshire. The opening event will feature coding challenges, game creation workshops, and VEX Robotics demonstrations, with exciting giveaways and exclusive sign-up perks available to attendees.

“We’ve seen incredible growth and success at our Borehamwood location, and we’re thrilled to bring that same energy and opportunity to St Albans,” said Meha. “Our Gaming Extravaganza is designed to introduce families to the transformative power of coding while offering a glimpse into the amazing world of STEM.”

“Coding is not just about learning technology,” added Meha. “It’s about building the confidence to tackle challenges, work collaboratively, and think creatively. I’m excited for the St Albans community to experience the lasting impact of Code Ninjas.”

With both the new launch and the Langley anniversary marking significant achievements, Code Ninjas continues to solidify its role as a leader in STEM education for children. By providing spaces where kids can explore their passions, make friends, and build essential skills, Code Ninjas is shaping the future, one ninja at a time.
