MTRIX partners with Swissbit to distribute FIDO2 solutions

MTRIX GmbH, a leading expert in professional authentication solutions for the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland), has officially partnered with Swissbit to distribute its FIDO2 security keys. As part of this collaboration, MTRIX will expand its product lineup to include Swissbit’s iShield Key family. Notably, MTRIX will be the first distributor to offer Swissbit’s latest innovation, the iShield Key MIFARE, which integrates both FIDO2 security and access control features, set to launch soon.

Since 2006, MTRIX has been a specialist in strong authentication solutions, providing expert guidance to companies in selecting, implementing, and managing multi-factor authentication systems. The addition of Swissbit’s solutions enhances their offering for clients seeking robust IT security.

The iShield Key Product Line

Swissbit’s iShield Key family includes both the iShield Key Pro and iShield Key FIDO2 products. The iShield Key Pro supports FIDO2, PIV, HOTP, and TOTP security protocols, making it highly flexible and suitable for various applications such as access control and secure printing. It is available with both USB-C and USB-A interfaces. The iShield Key FIDO2, designed specifically for FIDO2/WebAuthn standards, provides an affordable, secure entry into phishing-resistant authentication and is also available in USB-C and USB-A formats. All iShield devices are produced in Swissbit’s own semiconductor facility in Berlin.

FIDO Meets Smart Access Control

Swissbit is set to debut its groundbreaking iShield Key MIFARE, a hardware security key that combines FIDO authentication with NFC-based MIFARE DESFire EV3 technology. This unique integration adds functionality such as access control, time tracking, and payment processing. As Swissbit’s strategic partner, MTRIX will be the first to offer this product in the DACH region, with further details to be revealed soon.
