Littelfuse acquires C&K Switches
Littelfuse is buying C&K Switches for an enterprise value of $540 million.
Lars Brickenkamp, Chief Executive Officer of C&K, said, “C&K and Littelfuse share a common vision, with both companies having almost 100 years experience in the design and manufacture of high-performance products. With many common customers, applications and focus markets, our two companies share a high level of market and cultural affinity, which will allow C&K to continue to serve our existing customers, and rapidly add new ones, with competitive, market leading solutions.”
Founded in 1928, C&K has been at the forefront of technological evolution in electromechanical switches.
It offers more than 55,000 standard products, 8.5 million switch combinations, as well as custom designed solutions, to help solve engineering challenges faced in the automotive, industrial, IoT, wearables, medical, telecom, consumer products, aerospace and POS terminal industries.
The company is a global supplier of connect technology solutions for essential applications in industrial, transportation, aerospace, datacom products, and other industries.
Headquartered in Waltham, Massachusetts, C&K Switches has operations in France, Germany, China, India and Vietnam, and annualised sales of over $200 million.
The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals and is expected to close during the second calendar quarter of 2022.
This is a further strengthening of Littelfuse’s switching portfolio. In November last year it acquired switching and circuit protection specialist Carling Technologies.
C&K Switches was previously owned by Sun Capital Partners a global private equity firm
