Electronic Specifier welcomes Sheryl Miles to the team

As soon as Sheryl knew how to write, she’s had a passion and flare for writing. The thousands of snippets of paper with her scribbles are key indicators.

Whilst at school, Sheryl had the desire to study woodwork and metalwork, but was encouraged to study home economics or textiles instead. She also tried to create a magazine as a fun side project, but didn't share it with anyone. Since then, Sheryl has gained training in proofreading and copywriting, enhancing her skills.

Having since dabbled in everything from theatre, where she shared screen time with Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway, to finance, Sheryl once again realised her passion for writing.

Managing Editor, Electronic Specifier, Paige West exclaimed: “Sheryl’s creative writing and proofreading skills make her a very welcome addition to the team at Electronic Specifier. Already, her writing has demonstrated great enthusiasm for the world of electronics and I’m looking forward to seeing her develop in the role.”

As well as being excited to work amongst technology solving genuine societal problems, Sheryl has found her fondness for robotics and tech based on animals. Since beginning her journey at Electronic Specifier, she has written about a creepy spider and a robotic dog.

Since joining the team, Sheryl has already attended countless industry events, including Cyber Expo and Sustainability Live, where she’s had the opportunity to demonstrate her reporting skills.

Sheryl’s addiction to chocolate and stationery, and passion for the industry and her role mean she slots in perfectly with Electronic Specifier’s editorial team, and the general company culture.

Sheryl’s enthusiasm for creative writing, coupled with her love for the use of technology for the betterment of people and planet makes her role as Editorial Assistant the perfect fit.
