Jaguar has unveiled a glimpse of its future design philosophy, Exuberant Modernism, with the release of a teaser image of its forthcoming Design Vision Concept.

The rear detail image hints at bold forms and dynamic proportions that will shape the next generation of Jaguar vehicles.

The full concept, dubbed Type 00, is debuting during Miami Art Week on 2nd December 2024, as part of the global art festival. Jaguar will host exhibitions in two carefully curated gallery spaces and collaborate with emerging artists who align with the brand’s creative ethos. This approach echoes Jaguar founder Sir William Lyons’ guiding principle, ‘Copy Nothing’, established in 1935 to prioritise original thinking and fearless creativity.

Type 00 represents Jaguar’s transformation into an all-electric brand, offering luxury vehicles built on a unique new platform, Jaguar Electrical Architecture (JEA). With its long bonnet, sweeping roofline, fastback profile, and 23-inch alloy wheels, Type 00 aims to redefine electric vehicle design by combining a dramatic silhouette with modernist surfaces.

Jaguar’s creative philosophy is built on three key pillars:

  1. Exuberant: embodying vibrancy, boldness, and uninhibited creativity
  2. Modernist: balancing a forward-looking approach with respect for the brand’s heritage
  3. Compelling: offering holistic, sensory experiences that resonate deeply with clients

The Type 00 concept underscores Jaguar’s commitment to innovative design, electrification technologies, and exceptional performance. The concept also previews the brand’s first new-generation production vehicle, a four-door GT, set to be unveiled in late 2025. This model will offer a driving range of up to 770km (478 miles) WLTP and rapid charging capabilities, with the ability to add up to 321km (200 miles) of range in 15 minutes.

This marks the next step in Jaguar’s reimagination, as the brand seeks to redefine its presence in the luxury EV market with distinctive designs and advanced engineering, all manufactured in the UK.
