Howden, has welcomed an announcement by the US administration, aimed at promoting green manufacturing and taking on climate change
Salah Mahdy, Global Director – Renewable Hydrogen – Howden, comments “Howden welcomes these important steps and values them as important milestones in driving the energy transition to the right pathway. This also reflects how the clean hydrogen is crucial to the US Department of Energy’s strategy for achieving President Biden’s goal of a 100% clean electrical grid by 2035 and net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
“The largest hydrogen program from the bipartisan legislation that’s being advanced includes $8 billion which will help in establishing the regional clean hydrogen hubs that aim to advance the clean fuel’s production, processing, delivery, storage and end-use.
“We believe that these steps will accelerate the progress we need to fight climate change, reduce technology and solution manufacturing cost, and strengthen the opportunities of using of hydrogen as a clean energy carrier. This will also help in creating jobs to support manufacturing and the use of the clean hydrogen in different industrial sectors and beyond.”
