Farnell has announced a new strategic partnership with Rochester Electronics to feature its range of products.

Rochester Electronics is authorised by more than 70 leading semiconductor manufacturers worldwide. As an original manufacturer stocking distributor, Rochester’s extensive component range comprises more than 200,000 part numbers, including both active and end-of-life semiconductors. The partnership will provide Farnell customers with immediate access to Rochester’s in-stock factory-direct offering of more than 15 billion semiconductor devices. Additionally, Rochester is licensed to manufacture semiconductor devices no longer produced by the original component manufacturers.

Farnell, Product Category Director - Semiconductors, Jose Lok said: “The rapid pace of change in the electronics industry has meant that a significant number of customers have faced obsolescence challenges.

“We are delighted to partner with Rochester Electronics. Their licensed semiconductor manufacturing solutions, paired with their vast 100% authorised in-stock portfolio, provide our customers with the assurance of sourcing reliable and risk-free devices.”

Rochester has manufactured more than 20,000 device types. With over 12 billion die in stock, it has the capability to manufacture over 70,000 device types, ensuring an ongoing source of supply for customers with extended lifecycle needs.

Rochester Electronics General Manager - EMEA, Stephen Morris, said: “Through this strategic agreement, our valued customers can be rest assured to have a continued supply of semiconductors from Rochester’s portfolio of over 70 original manufacturers, all of which are 100% authorised and guaranteed. With this partnership, we look forward to delivering significant value to our customers by offering a sustainable supply chain.”
